Can you use vegetable oil to make pancakes? I know its a weird n random question.

Never used an oil in panny cakes-flattens 'em.

If you want fluffy cake use a just add water mix and use very hot water.

Let it stand a few moments and watch it rise

my son can't have dairy, so I make him pancakes with vegetable oil.

yes you can but it would not make the best pancakes i prefer using butter its cheaper and gives it more flavor

yes you can but to get that perfect golden brown don't use anything, just a teflon coated pan on med. high heat. it works every time. try it you won't believe it but it works. or pam spray.

you absolutely can. butter is certainly more flavorful but you can use any type of fat.
