  3. If it is a credit card then yes, if it is a debit card then no.  Debit cards and personal cheques are not acceptable in the Canary Islands as they cannot be 'cleared' through Spain.

    If you use a cash machine you will be charged. It's not much but dont keep taking a little out everyday, you will be charged everytime.

    Paying in shops, you will need i.d. and/or your pin.

  6. If the card has Maestro on the reverse or Cirrus, then you won't have too many probloems, try to take a spread of resources, cash, and cards, most places in the UK do free exchanges of £'s to €'s

    Debit cards are usually accepted but not cheques drawn on Uk banks
