  1. I'd take the underground.

But you could walk it.  It just depends how much you like to walk.

  2. You can walk as it is only about 1.5 miles to the Marble Arch end.

  3. Totally. I do it all the time when I'm there. It's a pretty, interesting walk and it's really not that far. I usually walk towards Buckingham Palace, down the Mall (or through St James Park) to Trafalgar Square, and then turn left and walk like 10 minutes or so to get to the bottom of Oxford. For Oxford Circus I'd go through Piccadilly Circus to Regent all the way to Oxford. You could also just walk straight down Grovesnor and keep going and hit Marble Arch. It's the shortest route, but it's not as interesting to me.

I can walk it in like half an hour, but I'm young. Just wear comfy shoes & your ipod and it will be fun. I personally hate taking the Tube or the bus when it's hot because it's smelly.

You can take the 73 or the 8 bus or the tube or a taxi if you really wanted. It wouldn't be that much because it's really not far.

  4. It is about a 40 minute walk to Oxford Circus, less if you want to go to the Marble Arch end.

It takes 4 minutes on the tube, Victoria line from Victoria to Oxford Circus.

A cab, during the day, would probably be fairly expensive, as traffic round there is awful.
