  1. I have a queen sized down comforter that I wash at the laundrymat as it is too big for MY machine.  It will look pretty sad when you remove it from the washer but putting it in a dryer that was large enough for it with some tennis balls or a nice clean pair of canvas tennis shoes will bring it back nice and fluffy.  Make sure it is really dry before use or it will get matted .A fabric softener sheet  makes it smell nice!

  2. You can wash it in your washer and put it in the dryer. Leaving it out in the hot sun would be better to dry. Once I spilled beer on my down comforter and called the dry cleaners. They couldn't come to get it for a couple days and said it would be okay to rinse it, that they would be getting it wet anyway so I just washed it.

  3. I've washed down pillows and comforters in the washer and dryer.. they always turn out fine. Throw a cup of white vinegar in there with it too.. that will help get the dog pee smell out. :o)

  4. i would really discourage washing a down feather anything unless you COMPLETELY dry it. you dont have to dry clean but the tag probably recommends you dry clean it so no liquids are getting on it. if you dont dry the feathers completely it will smell like pee and not because your dog pee'd on it but because the feathers are wet and moldy. do put it in the dryer on the cool cycle.

  5. Tumble dry with a softball to fluff the feathers.  I've never had one smell, but you need to dry as soon as wash cycle is done. Never tried cool air and it might work, but would take longer.

  6. Wash it on the delicate cycle, air dry
