  1. I think u can wash one and ask your local petstore and they will probaly give you a shampoo or smthin...

  2. Yes, you can wash a guinea pig. You don't need to and its not necessary but if they lay in their pee or p**p then you can wash them. I fill my bathtub up, not all the way of course, and then I get a rag and wash them. You can use guinea pig shampoo but I just use a rag and clean them up. Some guinea pigs like water and some don't Mine don't, but they lay in their p**p so I have to wash them.

  3. You can but I advise you not. Guinea pigs can catch a chill very easily and could die from it. If you want to take the chance though, I would buy a special guinea pig shampoo in your local pet store. If you really want to wash your guinea pig, I recommend just getting a damp washcloth and patting him/her with it. Remember to dry her/her off ASAP after they are wet.

  4. I'm stressing out about when the time comes when I need to wash my piggy. I'm terrified that I'll do it wrong and it will be a horrific experience for her and she'll get angry and never trust me again.

check out that site its awsome!

  6. Yes just get guinea pig shampoo, or sometimes bunny shampoo is for piggies too.  get it wet with water in the sink and put shampoo on and then rinse and dry, blow dry with the blow dryer on low about 1 foot away, you don't want them to get too cold from being wet, so they need to dry.  If you need to know more buy a book about guinea pigs at petco, it helps alot!

  7. yeah u can i already gave my guinea pig 3 baths good luck!

  8. Get a wet washcloth and just rub him down.

  9. You can wash a guinea pig! Its best to put it in the bath tub where they can roam around and if you fill it up to high they know how to swim!

1.Get supplies and this would be a good time to clip its nails :Get shampoo, towel, brush, toe nail clippers,Styptic powder, And a blow dryer(optional)

2.fill up tub to where the water goes over your toes and heel a little bit further if you like.Remember water must be teped or luke warm to be safe go on the warm side not to hot.

3.Wash your guinea pig and don't put the shampoo to close to the eyes don't want a sad piggy!

4.wash the piggy fully. if you leave shampoo it can cause it create dry skin and you will have a sad and in pain guinea pig

5.Dry it first put the towel on you then pick up the guinea and towel dry or use the blow dryer to help not fully dry it with it you will have a very hot piggy

6.get a dry towel and put the piggy on it if it has black nails bo not go to far you can't see where the vain starts just clip the ends or go to our local pet store.Use the clippers to cut off just enough not more not less but just what you need

7.Now you have a clean piggy and a very pretty one too! Be careful of course and have a fun time with your piggy!

  10. Ya its possible, just dont use strong shampoo use lavender, or baby shampoo, and don't do this very roughly or often only when your guinea pig is REALLY dirty, cause it can be stressful, and they can die of shock

  11. Yes but you shouldn't do it unless they're really dirty because it's stressful and leaves the door wide open for illnesses.

You need small animal or kitten shampoo (I like Squeaky Clean brand). Wet your guinea pig with lukewarm water, shampoo, rinse out, and then dry off with a towel. To keep them from getting cold I keep mine wrapped up and hug them close until they're dry.

  12. Yeah, I give my guinea pig a bath once a month. You can buy guinea pig shampoo or use tearless puppy shampoo. Never use people soap it can dry out the skin. Try to make the process as painless as possible, guinea pigs can swim but most don't enjoy it at all.

  13. Yes it is. I used to have guinea pigs and i washed them once every other month. (It is important not to do it often! So, do it only when relaly necessary like if theyre very dirty) I used a baby shampoo: Johnson and Johnson Gentle Baby.  MAke sure the water is warm, not scalding hot adn not cool. After you bathe them, do not let them back in their cage until they are completely dry.  I sometimes used my blow dryer on a low setting.
