Can you wash brita/pur water filter dispensers in the dishwasher??

I know on the brita website, it says to hand wash it. However, I was just wondering if anyone has washed it in the dishwasher anyway without problems. Thanks so much!

  2. Well if it says to hand wash it I would, it might melt from the heat in the dishwasher.
