Can you wash microfiber??

I believe my couch covers are microfiber they can be unzipped but I'm just wondering before i do it if anyone has had experience washing this material before?

  1. machine wash cool water and rinse cool water, mild detergent and delicate speed on the washer. Air dry.

    It washes fairly well, but you don't want to put it in the dryer with high heat. tumble after it is dry with damp wash cloth on no heat???


  2. We never washing this material before but I found this tips:

    To clean a microfiber cloth, wash with warm soapy water and rinse well. The warm water opens up the fibers, allowing them to release the locked in dirt.

    Placing the cloths in a washing machine and then drying them in a dryer on low heat is also effective. No fabric softeners of any kind should be used as the chemicals clog up the microfibers, making them less effective.

    Bleach should also be avoided as it corrodes the fibers over time, making them less effective. Ironing is also potentially damaging
