    They will be ruined for certain if the bowls are made of separate pieces of wood glued together.

  3. No, the heat would probably warp the wood.

  4. NO!  Don't do it.  I had a beautiful wooden salad bowl set that I had received a gift.  I ruined it when I put it in the dishwasher.  It warped and split.  Just wash it by hand and let it set to dry.    

  5. No, the dishwasher will ruin them. Hand wash the bowls if the best solution.
