Can you watch blue ray DVD's on any kind of T.V.?

I want to know if you can watch blue ray DVD's on any kind of T.V., or does it have to be High Def/LCD??

  1. As long as you have a blu-ray player (set top box or playstation 3) and a cable that can connect from the player to your tv, it will work. If your tv is not high def, it will just not be in high def.  It will look better than a dvd playing on your non high def tv, but nowhere near as good as on an actual high def.  I think you might get stuck with finding cables that connect though.  Blu-ray players usually connect using hdmi or component cables.  If your tv doesn't have that connection, and non high defs usually don't, you are going to have some trouble. Perhaps there are converters out there.
