No, there is no official way to watch DVDs on a Wii. Thats one of the reasons the Wii is so cheap.

Nope, sorry, man.  You can only watch DVD's on a PS2, PS3, Xbox, and Xbox360.

No worries if you have brawl thats all you need =)

I have heard there's an ap that will let you play DVDs, but I've not tried looking for it.

Unfortunatley not...... The nintendo wii is designed so that you cannot play dvds and music discs.

i dont think so ^o) but then again i've never tried xD

but what you can do is put a SD card in & have a slide show of your photos :) & go on wifi & other stuff i think xD

i only really go on it to play games sorry :L

I don't have one, but I have played on them and wikipedia doesn't mention anything about this. I don't think they do. It's for playing games.

Hi no you cant, I tried it jsut to see if it works and it didnt, I would of thought that all thing bought out now will beable to paly DVD but no such luck with the Wii.

I'm going to disagree with most of the above answers because i just finished watching Shrek 3 On my NON modded console and heres how:

1. Download the movie you want/rip it off a dvd or sumthing as long as its on your pc thats fine

2. Download Wii Video 9 http://www.redkawa.com/videoconverters/w...

3. Convert the movie you just downloaded into MJPEG format using Wii Video 9

4. Put the converted movie onto an SD card (note- you might need a quite big SD card as the movie will be big)

5. Put the SD card in your Wii

6. Open the photo channel

7. Open your movie
