Can you wear contacts if u have a cataract?

i have a cataract in my left eye and i was wonderin if u can still wear contacts??

plz help!!

  1. You can still wear contacts. You have to realize that your vision will still be affected by the cataract, no matter what type of vision correction you use.

    To a certain extent, monovision or bifocal contacts rely on both eyes having good corrected vision, so you might have to go with distance contacts and reading glasses over top of them.


  2. Don't see why not.  You might want to get the cataract removed though.
