I JUST ASKED MY MOM-she works for Pearl Vision (before DOC Optical) and said, she said

"im roller coaster person, but when i was, my contacts once fell out. If your proscription is over 3.0, please wear them! bring along a little contact kit to slip in your purse to wait at the little area where you start, for after ride."

Football and basketball players wear them during the games.  You should be OK.  Just in case bring along an extra pair if you need them for driving home.
