  1. I think it depends on the flip flops now flip flops that you would wear to the beach you know the rubber kind. I would say no to those. But they do have really nice flip flops that have jewels on them and are designed very nicely, you should be able to get away with something like that. To be on the safe side I would have a pair of shoes packed just in case they say no. Usually they won't inforce the rules too much if you aren't extremely casual.

  2. We were just on a Disney Cruise and flip flops are considered beach wear and are not allowed in the dinning rooms.  The snack areas and buffet they were ok.

With that being said, I didn't see anyone being asked to leave with what they were wearing.

The reason the cruise lines don't want such items worn, is to keep the atmosphere of the evening to a higher level.  Makes people feel better if everyone is dressed "up" a bit.

  3. It depends on what cruise your going to and what the dress code is. I would pesonally NOT wear flip flops to  a dinner cause it's usually fancy. I went on one cruise where there was a dress code and this couple were wearing jeans and sandals and they wouldn't let them enter because of their clothes.

  4. yeah you can as long as long as it looks elegant and shiny.

  5. I am not sure but I dont think its permitted. It maybe go under bathing gear and thats not accepted in dining rooms at any time. Ofc its depends on what cruise line youre on and if its a formal night or not. On formal nights I bet my two cents on that you want get into the main dining room if it have any standards of dressing to live up to. Not even a nice pair. but you never now and its better to ask the personal nicely and take no for a no... Johan

  6. I've been on 14 cruises and if you are talking about leather flip-flop-style sandals, with a hard sole and perhaps a small heel, then I say they are fine.

I have leather ones with a 1 1/2" heel that I wear on casual nights with capris or summer skirt,  and patent leather ones with a 3" heel that I wear with longer skirts and casual dresses.

The rubber or gel flip-flops that you wear at the beach - I think those are totally inappropriate at dinner.

  7. Flip flops come in so many styles these days that I'm sure you can wear a nice pair to dinner as long as your attire was nice.  I've been on 4 cruises and I've never seen them put someone out or not allow them to enter because they are wearing flip flops.  Have fun.  You're on vacation.

  8. Flip-flops are pretty casual to wear in the dining room, but you can wear them in the buffet or the more casual restaurants.  However, most cruise lines won't enforce the dress code unless you look really casual [ripped jeans, sleeveless T for guys, etc] on formal night.
