Can you wear makeup when taking a mugshot?

I always thought you couldn't, but then I saw Paris Hilton's mugshot, and she's clearly wearing makeup in it.

Can you? Just wondering, I didn't get arrested or anything, lol.

They take your mug shot when they arrest you after your misdemeaner.....how ever you are.

Of course. You get it taken in whatever face you have when you get taken to the station.

When they arrest you they take the photo , so if your wearing make up when they arrest you then you will be wearing make up in the mug shot !

your mugshot is taken when your booked into jail. i'd suggest if you want to wear makeup in a mugshot, you best get arrested that way, because there's no touchups before the mugshot is taken.

Unless they missed something in the body cavity search you wouldn't have any makeup to put on. I get this idea of you sitting in holding doing your nails while chatting on your cell phone.

Here how it really is it's cold even in august they make you strip and put on prison garb all your rings and jewelry are taken you sit in an uncomfortable plastic chair and are required to keep both feet on the floor, you are not allowed to talk. You will be screamed at if you do. They won't let you take blood pressure medicine or heart medicine, if you die too bad. People die by the thousands in holding jails every year nothing is ever done nobody cares about criminals cause. Yes, it's cruel and no doubt illegal who are you going to tell. They don't care what you've done if you're a good witch or bad in their eyes your scum because they're scum. The dregs of society are about all they can get to work in a horrid job like that.

Yup yup- they're not gonna give you like special make-up removing wipes or anything. But they will wash it off if you're wearing full face makeup (like a mime) for some reason.

I don't think they care about that. They just take your mugshot, and if you're already wearing makeup, then you just lucked out.

you come in as you are and take your picture. whatever you look like when you get arrested is what you look like in the picture

You can't put makeup on in jail that's for sure, unless your in federal prison, or serving a lot of time. You take a mugshot when you first get arrested, so if you had makeup on prior to the arrest then it will obviously show up in your picture. Pretty simple

yes... but don't expect anyone to give you time to do any "touch ups" 'cause it won't happen!

Whatever is on your face at the time, is what you get.

Whatever you have on is what you have on. Now, if your face is painted like the Joker or something then they will wash it off... but other than that you're good.
