I hired movers to move my stuff and when they got here they said they had to get a second truck because I had too much stuff. So when it comes to computing the weight so they could finalize charges they subtracted the amount on one weight ticket from the amount on another weight ticket. So is this accurate and possible? Steer axle was 8180, drive axle was 8940 and gross was 17120 on the first ticket and on the second steer axle was 11300, drive axle was 15460 and gross was 26760. It was a CAT scale.

  1. Some scales measure by axle such as CAT scales. It would be impossible to weigh both trucks together on one of these scales. There are scales that weigh the whole truck at once to get a gross weight. These are designed to weigh tractor trailers and are 75+ feet long and both should fit if put on bumper to bumper. Whether it is allowed or not I'm not sure.

  2. The weights sound reasonable. You can not weight two trucks at the same time.  What was the size of the trucks?
