Can you wire a 7 way round electrical connector to any vehicle?

My SUV is a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor and I would like to install a 7 way round electrical connector to my vehicle is this possible? If so how would the electric brakes get hooked up?

Hey there Shart Head, (I hope that you enjoy some humor!)My husband made me type this!

Yes, you can wire this connector to your vehicle. In order for the electric brakes to work, you will have to install a brake controller in your vehicle. This wires up in line with the brake switch on your brake pedal. When you press the pedal this energizes your brake controller which activates the trailer brakes. You can buy these through JCWhitney or Napa. They should come with a wiring diagram.

Yes the seven pin conector can be installed. Though not all pins are used. They are there to add connections later such as for electric brake or additional lights.

assuming you mean the connector to whatever trailer you are pulling. if that is correct there should be a wiring diagram for connection. if you bought one with out a diagram-take it back and get another. there is nothing quite as much fun as burning up wiring. if that is not what you are asking about---more details please

i guess you could, but there wouldn't be a reason on most vehicals(like a metro) you would never pull a trailer big enough for trailer brakes with this car, best off with a four way flat!!

i love the 7 way round because if your in pinch hoppy makes all kind of adaptors to reduce it down to well... a four way flat if you just needed to tow a light utility trailer or something!

these controllers and conectors come with pretty easy instructions on how to wire them into your vehicals wire harness!

*worst case senario, uhaul also installs these hitch accessories

*also if your towing you might want to consider a transmission oil cool too!
