  1. No..

  2. Why not call the department and ask them. Just be truthful.

Don't guess and worry.  You will know where to go from there,

either they say yes, or you peruse any field.

  3. Conflict of interest.

  4. probably not sorry

  5. No criminal justice related field will hire anyone with a felony.

  6. No, but you can be a lawyer.

  7. I do not believe, that any department, will hire an ex felon?

But then I do not know everything?

I know they cannot refuse you an application. But to get past the personnel selection boards etc?

  8. no

  9. Not here in California. Your evidence would be questioned in every case, therefore making you as liability to your department.  That's why we do not hire felons in law enforcement.

As far as the dispatcher thing, I know my department will not hire ex-cons for any position related to LE.

  10. Not gonna happen.  Should of thought of that earlier.

  11. Maybe, but it's doubtful.

Those are competitive positions, and much of your competition will not have felony convictions to deal with.  Even if you meet the minimum requirements, you will have a hard time getting hired.

And, FYI- there is no job that is what you see on CSI.  The people who collect evidence (crime scene techs) don't process it, and don't work the whole case.

  12. You cannot be in the police if you have a felony. You may be able to be dispatcher.
