Can you work on probation?

i got caught with pot and probably will get probation( I'm a juvenile) And i read that you can't leave home expect for school, so can i still work?

  1. Hello Zack. Being a juvenile, work would not be a necessary requirement of probation but would definetely be a plus for you.

    At your first meeting with your PO, he will outline your rules ( called sanctions). It will be what he expects for you to do and how to behave during your probation. At this time, discuss everything you want also. If you want to work part time after school or during vacation times, talk about it.

    You might have restrictions against where you would be allowed to work or the hours involved, so be prepared to be flexible.

    Overall, holding a part time job as a juvenile shows responsibilty and maturity on your part and would be viewed as a positive issue for you.

  2. Yes, it is possible to work, however I would recommend you do not. You should further burden yourself on society as a whole, and do nothing. Prepare yourself for a life of unwanted children, welfare, and confinement.
