  1. Yes. Any good guitar store will have them and/or be able to order what you need. You can fit them yourself very easily; they're held in with either one or two screws at the back and a threaded ring around the post. Depending on what you have already, you may need to replace the whole set unless you don't mind one odd one, but that could be a bonus as it's an opportunity to upgrade to a better quality set - good tuners will make a huge difference to tuning stability compared to the cheap hardware sold with some guitars.

When buying, pay attention to the location and number of screws required to affix them compared to the existing tuners on your guitar. The major manufacturers, such as Gotoh etc, make tuners that are designed to fit into most popular guitar makes without having to drill or fill any holes.

  2. Of course you can.  www.stewmac.com has an enormous selection.

  3. yes, but they're expensive as a set ($30-50 for the cheapest).  better to go to a small repair shop and ask for an individual one, if that's all you need.

  4. Yes, but don't install them yourself unless you're very sure of what you're doing.  Take the guitar to a trained luthier and have them professionally installed.

  5. Yes as one person pointed out stewmac is good  Also, LMII.com has them

I don't know what type of guitar you have but the major brands for most are Gotoh, Schaller or Grover.                                                       http://www.musiciansfriend.com/navigatio...
