Can youput your regular at&t smartchip in a pay as you go phone?

Yes as long as the Pay as you Go phone is a Cingular/At&t phone.

On Black Monday last year I found a deal at a Wal Mart and bought 4 At&t  pay as you go phone for $20 total. When my Razr broke I simply put the Smartchip in one of the PAYG phones as a backup until I got a new phone.
