Definitely.  Your LH surge happens just before you ovulate, usually 24-36 hours before.  The follicular phase is the period from the beginning of your cycle to ovulation.  That phase can vary from month to month.  Your follicular phase is really what determines how long your cycle will be, because your luteal phase (the time from ovulation to the beginning of your next cycle) usually doesn't change from month to month.  So, if your cycles aren't regular, then your LH surge would definitely be happening at different times.  I recommend using an OPK and charting your BBT and cervical mucus.
