  1. I think after they have been  doing it for years they could, but to be sure I think that is why they are having an ultrasound...

    Congratulations and Good Luck.......

  2. Besides a ultrasound the only way they can get an idea is by how big/small you are measuring, but even that isnt a perfect indication as it could have something to do with your fluid levels as well, its a pretty standard procedure to have a ultrasound at the very end to make sure baby is in correct position and isnt too big ect....keep in mind that someone can gain very little and look small and have a big baby or look huge and gain lots and have a tiny baby, and ultrasounds give a rough estimate for example i gaind 60 lbs with my daughter and she was only 7lbs 1 oz then with my son i only gained about 30 lbs i was all belly to,and had a ultrasound just 3 weeks prior to me giving birth and they estamated him to be about 5lbs 14 oz at the time of the ultrasound so i thought he was going to be tiny,he ended up being 9 lbs 5 ozs!!!! the only sure way to know is to have him/her :) good luck and congrats

  3. I was told all along my twins would be small and poss ably premature as a lot of twins are. I had a scan 2 weeks before my twins were born and they said each twin could weigh around 5lbish .The twins came on the date they were due and both weighed in at 7lbs each. DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER AND WE DONT ALWAYS KNOW EVERY THING LOL.

  4. Yes by an ultrasound

  5. Well how far along are you? Usually they do the ultrasound at like 18-22 weeks to check baby's development and then after that they don't do one unless they think there is a problem. My doctor only recently (2 weeks ago) palpated (used her hands) my belly to estimate the size of my daughter and now she checks every week when I go in.
