Can your bluetooth interfere with your wifi signal strenght?

I have a ps3 and everytime i go online and play with my bluetooth headset my signal strenght weakens to were it starts lagging and eventually times out. What can i do? I have my ps3 setup wireless and the modem is about 50 ft from the ps3.

  1. Possibly. They both are in the 2.4 Ghz spectrum, along with a lot of other wireless devices.

    If there are a lot of obstacles and interference in the way, especially walls, I can see how signal would drop.

    If it needs to be wireless, try moving the modem and the PS3 closer, within line of sight if possible. Or, string ethernet network cable. 50 ft and longer is easily doable with CAT 5 or 6 cable. It might be the headset interfering, if you can try another one do.
