I not from indiana but i know CA will suspend your license so i imagine that other states do the same

I would say not at all b/c how fair would it be for u to be unable to drive to work knowing that is the most basic needs to supporting your child support.  Drive smart nonetheless.

I live in Indiana and used to work for the BMV.  So, to answer your question, yes.  Actually, if you own a vehicle and it is titled and registered in Indiana, they can put a lien on your title and suspended your car registration.

I do know that if you set up a payment plan with the child support division, they will issue an order to the BMV to release your suspension on your driver license.  However, it depends on how much you owe in back child support.

Lastly, if they will not release your license, you CANNOT apply for a hardship license or conditional license in Indiana.
