  1. get contact lenses they are very cheap. Or get laser eye operation

    hpe tihs hples

    tahkns

  2. take lutein.. it's a vitamin that helps your eye sight.. it works VERYYYY well, just take it everyday..

also some foods you can eat are, carrots, broccoli, eggs, spinache, garlic, and salmon..

but taking the lutein alone for a couple months will really help your eye sight, you won't need glasses.. your eyes may even be better than before

  3. You NEED to get glasses or contacts. I started to lose my sharp eye sight at 14 as well...I had a hard time seeing the board at school. If you do not get corrective lenses, you will strain you eyes, causing MORE problems.

Your mom needs to be a more responsible parent and address the situation.

  4. You need glasses. The NHS will pay. Your parents are wrong.

  5. How can glasses make your eyesight worse when you can see better wearing glasses??

  6. Your parents won't get you glasses? Will they get your eyes checked? Will they listen to a doctor? I'm mortified both as an optician and as a mother....I'm sorry sweetie

  7. apparently if you wear long sighted glasses it will stretch your muscles the other way. im not sure if it will work though. and also u get eyedrops that are supposed to relax ur eyes and help. x

  8. Yes, there is the Bates method.

I have posted a link to amazon.co.uk showing details of a good book on the subject. Perhaps your parents will be kind enough to order it for you.

    Good luck with your eyesight!

  9. eat carrots they are good for ur eyes

  10. It's possible for eyesight to get better, but it rarely ever happens.  Nearsightedness/shortsightedness (which is what you have if you can't see clearly in the distance) usually progresses through the teens and will stabilize in the twenties.  It is caused by the cornea (the front of the eye that focuses light into the eye) being too strong and focusing light in front of the retina (the back of the eye where light needs to be focused for a clear image).  This is usually caused by the eyeball growing longer.

Glasses (and contacts) simply help focus light onto the retina so you can see clearly while wearing them.  They do not make your vision worse or make your vision better.  Your eyes will grow and change on their own whether or not you put lenses in front of them.  Your eyes will adjust to the new lenses, though, so it may seem that your vision has changed a little when you take them off, but your eyes would just readjust to not wearing them if you stopped wearing them.

Since nearsightedness is caused by the size and shape of your eye, no vitamin, food, or exercise can stop or cure it.  Vitamins can help your eye health and exercises can help with eyestrain, but neither will restore clear vision.

You need to have a serious talk with your parents and let them know that your vision is blurry, especially before school starts.  If they still refuse to take you to an optometrist, tell someone else: another doctor you may see, another family member who may be more understanding, a friend's parent/guardian, a teacher, or a school nurse.

Good luck.  I hope you can get some glasses or contacts.  :)

  11. U could get contacts intil your about 18.

When your 18 you can get laser eye surgery.

Which will make u be able to see again without glasses or contacts or anything like that.

All you have to really do is open your eye for along time when your getting it done,

I dont know much about it so look it up on google or something.

  12. There are actually some amazing exercises out there that DO work - go have a google.

  13. Wearing glasses actually can make your eyesight better. If you need glasses and you can't get any, that's what will make it worse. Your eyes need help, and if you don't get glasses, you will be straining them ALL the time, therefore wearing out your eyes faster than normal. I think you need to sit down your parents and have a serious talk, they've got the wrong idea! Try to get written proof from an eye doctor.

  14. Wearing glasses will NOT make your eyes worse. By not wearing glasses you are straining your eyes which will make them worse. Often people are given glasses for just a few years and after that they can see perfect again. You could be damaging your eyes by not wearing glasses. Go to the opticians. I'm sure they know better than your parents. x

  15. Glasses are what help. If your vision isn't too bad, they can make it better. But if your eyes get too bad, they won't improve them. Glasses still help even then, though, because they help prevent further damage.

Keep in mind, they're not a magical cure. It will just help stop it, they can still get worse.

I have to wear glasses for the rest of my life, but they help greatly. I can see now.
