Can your home address be traced through your myspace?

ive heard of your address being traced through your computers i.p address but can it be traced through your myspace url or i.p address?

Be aware that law enforcement *can* request ISP logs to find the account that was assigned a particular IP address at a given time to trace illegal activity.  If you are planning to do something illegal, then you might want to think again.  Even if your ISP doesn't issue you a username/password to use for connecting or setting up your router, they do know what account it came from since it's a hard line to their remote terminal which is dedicated to your house.

If your concern is privacy from other individuals, you don't have too much to worry about with regard to finding you by IP address.  It is near impossible to "trace" you back to your physical address by just your myspace page.  I would always suggest avoiding *any* personal information in anything you post or put in a public profile.  With just a name and a city, there are services that sell public data for a fee.  It may surprise you what data is public.  Like employment history, address, phone number (even unlisted ones), any property you own, whether you're married or single, your age, etc..

Your address can only be traced through your myspace if you write it on there..... But it can be traced through your COMPUTER'S ip address (only if you have high-speed internet) if you have dial-up, your address cannot be traced. Your ip address cannot be found through myspace, or any other blogging website, so don't worry, and more importantly, don't give out any personal information over the internet!!!!!!
