He broke up with me because of overwhelming pressure of his job in the military. I just wonder how true it is. Is it difficult to maintain a relationship if you are a job in the military?

  1. BS if he wanted you he make time for you

  2. That could be true for him but it could also be a nice way of saying I'm done with you. What job does he have, what branch is he in and how long has he been in? There are a lot of stresses that affect our military from deployments to long hours, etc. If he's in a new town with new friends then there are new girls around him too.

If he really wanted to make it work he would.

  3. Some jobs in the military are high pressure. My boyfriends a recruiter and literally works 8AM-8PM M-F & 8AM-3PM Saturdays... Its a lot of work but he and I have a great relationship. It just depends on the guy and how he handles the stress of his job and how you handle it too. Plenty of people make military relationships work, but some just can't handle it.

  4. Some jobs can be very high pressure in the military and also how people deal with the stress of them also can make a difference.  Many people that I worked with in my job worked out just for this reason and because they found that the benefits of working out far exceeded the problems that the job and stress brought on.  At the same time such jobs can also be hard on relationships but usually there is some other reasons as well associated with a break-up like what you mention and you might want to look at that and consider it.
