Can your license get suspended if you have a warrant?

I may or may not have a warrant I'm in the process of checking now to get it cleared up. But if there is an outstanding warrant does my license get suspended? Also, do you have to turn yourself in at the county that issued the warrant or can you turn yourself in anywhere? And one more thing. How long after you post bond/bail will you get a new court date? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

  1. If u got a warrant and get stopped, prepare 4 a "room with no view"  and if u jump bail if u can make it, the DOG will hunt u down and Beth will sit on u...............

  2. If the warrant is traffic related, your license is probably already suspended.  In any case, if you are pulled over and have a warrant, you will be arrested for the warrant.  Contact the court clerk about your court date.  Most courts assign a date when you post pond.

  3. It's up to the court.  Depending on what the offense is and how longs it remains unresolved, your license may or may not become suspended.  If they suspend your license the DMV will send you a letter, so you would know if it was suspended already.

  4. i have no idea where some of these people get their info.no your license will not be suspended unless you are taken to court and the court rules that should happen. when you go to renew your license they check everyone. you would be arrested if you tried to renew but it would have nothing to do with your license being suspended.

  5. If the warrant is driving related this yes. Actually if you go to the DMV and try to get it just renewed and have a warrant they will detain you and slyly call the police. If you do turn yourself in in another county they will transfer you which will take alot longer to get bail set. After bail is set and you are freed it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months to get a court date.
