Can your nails.....?

Question

Out of sheer curiosity... can your nails melt?? Like.. if you put your hand in a fire apart from your hand like burning to like death would your nails melt? Sorry my friend planted the idea in my head and I haven't been able to get it out... and don't tell me to try it.

no they cant. its dead skin... it wont melt just burn into ashes.

i dont think so they arent like plastic or wax!
