Can your sim on the sims 2 just die at any age?

I'm just curious if they can? When i had the sims deluxe edition my girl became sick and died.. and then her family got sick and died to, so i want to know if that can happen on the sims 2? Also can sims at any age just die for no reason?

old age

starvation

drowning

fire

flies

hail

illness

lighting

freeze them

saterlite

a plant from rewards section that can eat them

Yes. Younger sims can die by drowning, disease, having a satellite fall on them while stargazing, starvation, and not having their needs met. Older sims die of old age. There are cheats where you can kill your sims.

they can die from getting sick, or a fire, or if they go hugry. the sims 2 is a lot better a lot more stuff on it. By the way the sims 3 is coming out in 2009.

They make sims just like people, doesn't matter what the age, if you don't take good care of your sim, they'll die. =/

In sims 2 all ages can die.     But before babies and toddlers can die usually social services come and take them.     If a child baby or toddler gets trapped in a fire they can die.     If a child dies it usually comes back as a ghost.     Oh and all sims can drown.    My little sister got mad at me (I was on her game with her) and i came in and she had drowned my whole sims family

I was really into sims 2 for a while.

also if you are a scientist I believe and get to a certain level you can bring dead sims back to life

yeah. an old sim die of natural causes but any younger sim can drown or dies in a fire.

They can get sick... a cold can turn into flu and then that can turn into pneumonia but they usually get better. A sim cannot die just for no reason. The only time this may seem to happen to a healthy sim is when your sim is an elder and they die of old age. Most deaths are caused by fire, lightning, drowning... but can be hail, satellite, flies, and many more. Oh, there's a "Dead Token" that you can spawn from the Tombstone of Life and Death and that will just bring up something that says, for example, "Your sim [name] has died on another lot..."

not for no reason THERE IS ALWAYS  a reason! fire, drowning, trapped in a room,flies, all sorts of stuff! these are just a few.
