  1. Everyone gets fixated on youth vs. experience. WTH, If you take chelly and the Dom out of the mix  it's closer then you think. The wings have both. Z,Pav,Cleary,Draps, Franzen,Hartigan,Helm,Holms,Maltby,Huds,... So I think that the Youth and experience will win over youth alone, or experience alone. Detroit is well rounded with both. Wings in 6

You may say some on my list are not so young......you cant tell by the way they play!

  2. I think that they can, but I don't really see it happening.  Detroit has too much going for them right now.  The Zetterberg/Datsyuk/Holmstrom line is unstoppable right now, Osgood is on-point in net, and the rest of the team isn't exactly slacking either.   The Wings may be the older team and a little slower, but they've been in the finals before and know what it takes to get the job done.

No matter who wins, this is one of the most exciting finals that I've ever watched and I've been a Wings fan for over a decade now.

  3. yes, and they will

  4. yes they can! but only for 3 games... Wings in 7

  5. This Final is a learning process for the Penguins. Just like the 1983 Oilers, who were swept by the Islanders, then won four of the next five cups.

Pittsburgh may win game three or four on home ice. Heck, they may get lucky like the Hurricanes in 2002 and steal one in Detroit, but they'll just awaken the monster again.

We saw before the end of the first period that Detroit was taking over the play, and dominated every facet the rest of the way. Some of the Penguins' mistakes were just plain silly (Ruutu's turnover) but most of them were forced by the pressure of the Wings.

And I hope Fleury stops his habit of rushing onto the ice. Falling down isn't a good sign before a game.

  6. The Pen's need to stop the little things that are getting them caught at the blue-line, that results in turnovers- the Red Wings' transition game will prove to be too much for them if they don't.

From what I saw last night, it will repeat itself thru-out this series if the Pens dont get some sort of action plan to get better possession control against the Wings. Also, the big guns on the Pittsburg team will continue to be shut down unless they learn to dump/chip in the puck into the Wings' zone...if Crosby, Malkin, etc wanna think this will be the cakewalk their other series' were, they should just give up now.

Detroit is too much for them, and I assure you they won't let up. Look for Drake and Draper to make the huge plays that will break Fluery- 3 games to go. Dont worry about Hank and Pavel, they will find a way to force a Pens goalie change.

    I say Wings in 5.

  7. No, young and full of energy  rarely prevails over skill and experience.

  8. Anything is possible. But I always give the edge to experience

  9. Nope. Wings in six.

  10. NO

  11. I don't see it happening.  The Red Wings are the dominant team by far.
