  1. As the others have said, it is a promenade in Old San Juan. The promenade follows the walls of the city and it is lined with trees, benches and is a very popular spot on a weekend, where you will find local artists and artisans.  There is also a really nice fountain at the start of the promenade.

    If you walk along the promenade, you will eventually come to the San Juan Gate, which leads you back into the city.

  3. Located in the Old San Juan, this promenade hosted a former Spanish prison, which now houses the Puerto Rico Tourism Company and is bordered by a huge colonial wall. Several cultural activities are held here throughout the year. Walking the full promenade also offers views of Isla de Cabras, a beautiful small island located in the bay.

  4. "La Princesa" (The Princess) was a prision in the Old San Juan area during the spanish colonial times, now it is used as the main offices of the goverment Turism Administration.

    The "Paseo de la Princesa" is the area in front of "La Princesa" which is full of trees, walking area, a sculptured fountain, ocean front.  During the night there is often music and a lot of locals and turist gather there to sightseeing, visit artisans selling handmade folcklore artcrafts, or buy typical foods/snaks.
