Can zoloft make you lose weight?

Are you on Zoloft 100 mg's by chance?

Does it seem to work for you?

Did you lose weight by being on it? (I know it's not a weight loss pill)

That is an anti depression medicine! I don't think it's going to help!

Zoloft is a SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor).  One of the common side effects is weight gain.  If you are losing weight on it, and you are okay with that, and your mood is improving, so much the better!  If you have any questions or concerns about your medication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Zoloft generally will cause weight gain, not loss.  I was on it for a while - felt like a Zombie.

Wellbutrin causes weight loss, as does Effexor on occasion.  Wellbutrin works for me, effexor is h**l.

i heard it can, but it hasn't for me.
