Canada, can you get in with a copy of your birth certificate?

  1. u can get a copy of your birth cirtificate online from the govenment, the same site where u can get passport forms from. for birth certificates just fill out the online form and they will send u a copy. for passports u will have to have photos taken, fill out the registration forms and stand in line at the passport office.

    depends if your comming by air or on land (driving). on land they will be accepting birth cirtificates and licences as forms of i.d. up until 2009. by air u must have a passport. its easier to have a passport though so u don't have to go fishing for your birth certificate and drivers licence.

  3. If you are American and have an original birth certificate it proves your citizenship, so then along with a drivers license to prove identity you can cross the boarder by land.  Next summer they plan to increase the standard to passport only.

  4. Canada Customs wants either a valid drivers license or a passport. Something with a photo I.D. in other words.

    Bring your bc just in case.
