  1. Hi,

In short, your living cost will be around $1500/- per month including rent ( If you can control your desires). Both of you will need Canadian education and references to get a job in your professions.

I think keep enjoying comfortable life in India. 1.5 million Rupees are good enough to enjoy.

    Wish you good luck,

  2. the official site for immigration to Canada is http://www.cic.gc.ca/

There are two routes for you to explore;  Canada has a "family reunification" plan for those already here to sponsor other family into the country.  That is the fastest. The other way to get in is as a "skilled worker" which your wife's credentials look pretty good.,  Look under that section and you will find a self-test to see if you (or her) have enough points to qualify entry that way..

2:  You have to have lived in Canada for 3 years or so before you can apply for citizenship. So the answer to your question is no you dont apply for citizenship from India but rather apply for entry only.  Once you have lived here for a few years then you apply for citizenship.

3:  As a middle manager sales rep (professional sales) with commissions in Canada earns between $50,000-$80,000/year.  I dont know if your wife's degrees will be accepted on par here but do not believe so.  Psychologists here earn between $70-$90K per year in their profession.

Cities with signficant Indian Populations include Vancouver and Toronto.   The Vancouver Indians are primarily from Punjab area but quite a few Hindu as well.  Toronto has lots of Sihks and Hindus.   The Sikhs have done very well here and can be found in almost every city and town across the country.

For renting a 2 bedroom apt in big cities like Vancouver or Toronto is about $1,000/month about 45 min. from downtown.  Cable $50/month Internet (cable) $60/month but cheaper dial up.  Phone: as low as $25/month with Sprint etc..

Meal out for two (not fancy) $40

Cab costs:  $15-$20 to go 10 miles.  Suggest renting car as its about $45/day with unlimited kilometers.

EMI?? is that auto insurance on a 4x4?  About $100/month with clean record.

You can drive for 6 months here on your Indian license.
