Canada/Quebec Strip Club Policies?

My buddies took me to a strip club for my 18th in Quebec (drinking age is 18, so are the clubs) and one of them surprised me and bought me a lap dance in the VIP room.

I was always under the impression you were never allowed to touch the girl, but she practically took my hands and allowed me to fondle the merchandise, and there was a lot of body contact.

I just wanted to know, is this common for clubs in Quebec/Canada, or is it a rare thing? What's it like in the states?

Quebec has awesome strip clubs, the best in Canada.  The rules vary from place to place, city and province.  But you have the right idea, don't touch the girls unless you know its OK.  If they don't like what you are doing you get thrown out.

Apparently in some places in the states the strippers don't even get naked.

Speaking as a former bouncer at a Toronto Strip club and famous downtown one, the Quebec clubs are way more allowable than here in Ontario, touch a girl here and be prepared to be escorted out, and sometimes in a hurry!.

It is frowned upon here even table dances and lap dances are monitored by the management, some places are a bit less strict for some reasons, but it is a rule of the house to not touch the strippers, at least that was our policy, and we did enforce it to the letter.

Quebec as a society, has a MUCH more relaxed  attitude  about sexuality  in general, than other parts of Canada . In the clubs, it is a case of what ever the dancers allow  you to do ,  is OK.

Ever been served breakfast by a nude waitress ? Common in Quebec, in some resto bars ( a combination of a restaurant and a bar )

I live in Ontario (so I can't speak for Quebec or the U.S.).  I live in Windsor, across from Detroit, Michigan, and I know we get many American guys over to our clubs here in Windsor, and we have quite a few of them.  I think they are way more lenient here with what they can get away with than in the State.  They are very popular and one of our biggest male "tourist attractions"...."groan".
