  1. uh yeah. what planet you living on. those who don't make it here go there.

  2. Yes, we Canadians do. Its called the CFL.......AND IT KICKS NFL'S BUTT!

  3. We sure do, no weenie 4 down football here, you've got to actually move to ball instead of run it 2, 3 yards at a time

Does the US still have one?  or are they all serving time right now?

  4. yup, its called the cfl, different rules but same idea

  5. Yes; known as the CFL. The game is similar but much faster paced. The Canadian Football League is older than America's NFL.

Differences include 3 downs not 4 which increases importance of passing; wider and longer field @ 55yds wide x 150 yds long including 20yd deep end zones; goalposts are @ goalline not back of end zone; a missed field goal attempt will score one pt unless caught and run out of end zone by opposing player; more than 1 man can be advancing toward scrimmage line during play; a kick thru endzone scores 1pt; 9 teams with 18 game schedule plus pre-season means teams meet 3 or 4 times per season building rivalries; the football itself is slightly larger; season begins in June ending with Grey Cup championship in November; only 2 domed fields. rest play outdoors where Edmonton, Calgary, Regina & Winnipeg can drop to 0 deg F in Novenber; many other subtleties exit.

CFL is faster probably due Canadian love of hockey and lacrosse. Fits the national psyche.

  6. Yup...the CFL.

The rules are a bit different though...

  7. I too wanted to ask the same question, how did u guess?

  8. Yes we do... and i think our teams have to work harder because they only have 3 downs and not 4... although the NFL has better athletes

  9. We have had a football league for longer that the NFL has been around. There were a lot of great players who played up here including Warren Moon (five championships in five years) and Doug Flutie (all kinds of records and awards). Some of your Congressmen and Senators have even played pro ball up here, such as J.C. Watts - Congressmen from Oklahoma and Jack Kemp, Senator and one time Vice-Presidential candidate. It's a small world and Canada isn't that far away.

  10. Definitely and an exciting football league at that!

  11. I agree with Harold.  CFL is much better than the NFL.  I make sure to attend a few games a year, usually in Montreal, as it is the closest CFL team to me.  I can afford CFL games, but not NFL.  The rules are different, but not by much.  It is a faster paced game.  I hope the Bombers do well this year.

  12. Yea some greats have played in it to.  Dug Flutie came out of it Rickey Williams played there last year.   A couple others to.
