Canada has only one high-speed train corridor. The Via 1 takes only four hours and 15 minutes to travel from Toronto to Montreal. What was the name of the inaugural train that ran the high-speed route?

  4. At the present time, only two of VIA's trains make the trip in less than 4 hours and 15 minutes. (Trains 67 and 68)

    VIA 1 is a class of passenger amenities, not the name of a train.

    Although the Rapidos were the first to crack 5 hours from Toronto to Montreal, CN's Turbo did it fastest beginning in 1968 with a time of 3 hrs and 59 minutes downtown-to-downtown!

    (And WHAT a ride THAT was!)
