Canada to United States calling?

Okay.. My friend wants to call and he lives in Canada, I live in the United States. He's worried that his number from Canada will show up on my phone bill. Will it? I'm not sure what company my parents signed up for.. I think it might be Verizon. Either way, do incoming calls show up on your phone bill?

  1. Land line calls are always billed to the calling party.  There is no difference between calling from one Canadian province to another, and calling from Canada to the US.

  2. Whatever company your parents signed up for incoming or "terminating" mins are not noted on your bill.  Only outbound or originating mins are logged.  They don't care about calls that they can't bill you for.

  3. If your friends number shows up on caller id then it will show up on verizon bill.

If the number does not show up on caller id, then it will not show up on bill
