Day 1 Recap
The opening day of the one off game between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Canada-c748 and United States of America (USA) came to its closure after the American tourists wrapped up their session at 166, losing all the batsmen following an exceptional bowling display by the Canadian players.
The match came as the only 2-day game from the Auty Cup, and was being played at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club, on Monday, August 15, 2011.

Taking on a steady stance, the batting duo began with an impressive run with the bat, scoring some fair numbers for the team. Having paved a solid footing on the crease, the pair went on to lead the side into the opening half ton mark.
However, by the time the batters added a 71-run contribution for Canada, trouble came its way after USA’s pacer Tummala managed to successfully earn Wadia’s wicket.
Wadia marked his return after scoring 37 runs, which came off 45 deliveries, including 6 notable boundaries.

After a total of loss of 4 wickets, Canada finally declared its session at 239 runs after a play worth 45 overs.
As for the American innings, the team took off with a troubling start, following two quick wickets in the opening moments of the session, which brought a complete end to the batting side’s opening duo.
With a few more runs into the game, the Canadian bowlers came out with another potent blow to the American batting line-up, securing two more wickets, bringing the team to a troubling aggregate of 24 for 4.
With occasional runs being scored, the fall of wickets continued for USA till the side crumbled on a disappointing 166 in 43 overs.
USA’s captain, Desai, remained to be the only highest scorer on the squad with 43 runs.
