Canada visitors visa: reason for extension?

Hello,

My mother is here in Canada on a multiple-entry visitor's visa. She is here not for the first time, and last time (a year ago) we extended her visa and put my marriage as a reason (which was true). Since then, she left Canada and entered again 2 times.

Now we want to extend her visa again, so she doesn't have to leave. What would be a good reason for extension?

The real reason is that she pretty much lives here, and we are just waiting for the family sponsorship process to complete, to get her permanent residence. But that takes some time.

So what would be an acceptable reason to write on the extension documents, to get the extension?

You just need to state the truth.  Tell them that she is waiting on the approval of the visa application and it is best that she remain in Canada for the time being.  If she had to leave it would create extra expenses etc....

Give them the file/case number of her application and all other information pertaining to the case so they can verify your request.

My friend was on a visitor visa while waiting on her PR application to be processed and she was granted an extension two times and allowed to remain in Canada during the process.

i extended my stay 4 times til my permenant residency came through ,had no problems extending it at all
