  1. No cause I don't give a rat' s @ss about hockey. I'm one Canadian who will admit that.

  2. I have to admit that I did call Jeremy Roenick about a week afterwards and jive him about it.  He reminded me at the time that I was living in America, and that he knew where I lived.  So I teased him some more!

  3. I managed to score a ticket to the game at the last minute and sat in a section of mostly Canadian fans.

We were too busy going nuts and celebrating to rub it in the face of the Americans.

  4. Unfortunately I didn't watch hockey back then.

However we are using it against one of my sister's friends who is American and anti Canadian. She brought up the fact that we didn't win any medals yet (this was a few days ago) so we had to bring up our triumphs over the US.

This is what she wrote in response to my sister after my sister brought up Salt Lake:

o please salt lake is like 8 yrs ago...and ummm...at least we have a mdeal..and in every sport USA vs. Canada...USA comes ontop..other than hockey...i mean canada cant be that bad that they dun have any tallent in sporttt

and u know u luv them

When you have people like that how can you NOT rub it in.

  5. Yes, and I'm American!  :)

  6. No, I was to busy celebrating our first Olympic ice hockey gold medal in 50 years to rub it in and it would have been poor sportsmanship to do so.

  7. I am American. I have many Canadian friends. They were jumping for Joy and did some good natured ribbing. But for the most part Friendship and sportsmanship was the main course

  8. No but they downplayed it.  I was watching a media feed from the states and they started off the report with garbage about how EVERY kid in Canada plays hockey and it is EVERY kid's dream to one day win the Stanley cup so this is the reason why Canada won the event:  because it means so much more to them.  They basically said that they would throw Canada the bone or whatever and that they didn't care.

If they had won though it would have been an entirely different story indeed if you catch my drift.
