Hi there. My father was born in Canada and under the new law next year that is introduced in April, I will be eligible for citizenship as a second generation born abroad. I was born in UK in 1960.
What I was wondering is, as directly this law doesn't apply to the 3rd generation past age of 18, could I apply for my son, who is under 18, to also claim Canadian citizenship too under my application as a dependent of me or some other sort as we intend on moving to Canada soon, and it's a little silly that most of his family are Canadian and I wouldn't want him waiting 4 years to claim it.
Thank you.
