Question:

Canadian Citizenship?

I was born in the United States of America in December 1986 (20 years of age) to my father, an American citizen, and my mother, an American citizen who was born in Canada.

However, my mother was born in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada in November 1957 (49 years of age) to working American parents, who were not diplomats, and continued to reside there for 7-8 consecutive years before moving back to the United States as a minor. I do not believe she has made any attempts since moving back to the U.S.A to resume her citizenship of Canada. She does have a Canadian birth certificate.

From reading their website, "Citizenship and Immigration Canada", I believe I am already a Canadian citizen by descent and all I would have to do is file for proof of citizenship...

Can anyone help me here? Thanks!
