Canadian National Championships: Christin Tsai tames Rachel Honderich in Women’s Singles semi-final
Canada’s upcoming female shutter Christin Tsai lived up to the expectations as she reached into Women’s Singles final after defeating Rachel Honderich in semi-final match of 2013 Yonex Canadian National Championships in Canada, on Friday, February 1.
It was a smooth ride for Christin, who is the second seeded shuttler in Women’s Singles main draw of the championship, as she played with stunning speed and precision and managed to end up the winning run of Rachel in just 15 minutes.
Christin was in smashing form as she played with remarkable precision and managed register a comprehensive victory against Rachel in straight games with a completely lopsided margin of 21-13 and 21-6.
In the meanwhile, the third seeded Rachel gave a good fight in the starting points of first game but she lost her control over the pace of rallies and eventually lost the match without taking away any set from her challenger.
Christin showed a wonderful aggression in the arena from the initial points of first game by building a huge pressure on her rival.
The impressive variations in Christin’s strokes helped her to continue her domination against the lower ranked Rachel and she easily stretched her lead at the early stage.
Until the mid-game break, the confident Christin stayed in commanding position as she did not let the pace of rallies down and stayed ahead on the board.
Rachel tried to put up strong resistance but remained unable to take charge of rallies and remained struggling in the ending half.
Christin was very calm and composed on court as she did not commit mistakes and wrapped up the first game with a staggering margin of 21-13.
The impressive Christin did not lose her supremacy at any stage in the first part of second game as she played with confidence and precision.
Christin entertained the crowd with her incredible craft that helped her to keep pressure on her opponent who could not find good rhythm.
In the second half of second game, the lofty Christin continued her comfortable run and easily wrapped up the second game by a stunning margin of 21-6.
