Question:

Canadian Study Permit and Visa?

Hi everyone,

I have applied for Canadian student permit and I've got my visa now. My study program begines in September, I was wondering if there will be a problem entering into Canada now, which is 2 months earlier than the beginning of my program. Do you think they will issue my study permit at the port of entry if I travel there now?

Thank you so much for your help

  1. If you received Your  letter of introduction for the study permit then you should be okay.  The permit has an expiry date, and no mention of a start date, once approved.  It makes sense to arrive early for orientation, find and set up accommodation, and even vacation and take in Canada before you start school.

Just make sure to check this link for information on arriving with a Study Permit.

    Congratulations.
