Canadian Temporary Work permit -- Is it flexible ??

I mean can you switch jobs etc .... eg if you go to Canada as a Driver can you switch to say an IT job??

You may but you have to work for a long time and have to be good a making the rite choses.

It depends on the visa that you have, if a company sponsor to have a work permit, then no, you have to stick with them, but there are still chances that you can apply with other company and re-apply again for a new work permit. Your work permit clearly states what company will you be working to, unless, you have an open work permit (under the spousal program), which I have, I do not have specific company to work for, but my permit depends on my husband's work permit, wherein his permit is specifically with the company that sponsor him.
