Hi:

I hold a Canadian visitors visa. Its expiry is on July 6th 2008. Can I travel from July 3rd to July 6th to visit my husband despite coming back on the same date as the visa expires.

Are there any chances I would be denied entry .What proof should i take .

Thanks

Juventis

  1. as long as you leave  Canada the day your visa expires you should be OK

but border control may be suspicious of you entering so close to your visas expiratory date, they may consider you a threat of staying in Canada illegally and deny you entry

  2. You must have 6 months on your passport to entry most countries.  I would contact the passport Agency in  Canada

    http://www.ppt.gc.ca/index.aspx?lang=eng

  3. Depends on where you are coming from. But normally you don't require a visa just to visit Canada. You must have an updated Passport. If you do use your current Visa, they might question why you are travelling so close to its expiry date.

Don't leave home without your Passport
