  1. True Canadians do have an accent as do the U.S. population and the Brits and the Scots etc etc. Also different areas of Canada have there own dialects which are accents.  We all have an accent.  Which we do not hear because everyone surrounding us have the same way of speaking.  But drop us off in the middle of Australia and I guarantee that we will be accused of having a thick accent.

  2. No. We have a Main-stream American accent.

We say some words differently (Processed etc.), and have some words that they dont use (Tuque etc.) but there is no real accent.

Unless you're from Newfoundland and i have heard some Nova Scotians with a bit of an accent.

  3. I'm a Canadian who has been living out of Canada for quite a few years and I can definitely tell when people are from Canada. It is really obvious but I cannot put my finger on it. There are many different Canadian accents, Torontonians sound different  to people from out West, etc. It comes as a shock to realise that I used to sound like that!!!

  4. yeah!!! every canadian had an accent,  and any country had also an accents

  5. Everyone has an "accent," whether it is a Southern American accent or a Canadian accent or a British accent. An accent is very simply a manner of pronunciation of a language. Linguists have even categorized the manner of speech, spelling and specific vocabulary of English spoken (and written) in Canada under the term "Canadian English." Wikipedia has a good article about Canadian English. For more information, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_En...
