Canadian and american border help needed!!! urgent?

oki im currently in canada. and im a smaoker. i have cigarretes, and i was wondering if its illegal to bring my cigagretes to america?

please reply because i need it today, im leaving tommorow early

You can bring one carton with you. In most cases you can usually get away with packing a few more cartons in your suitcase, they very rarely check your luggage. And if they do, the worst that could happen is that they will take them away (as long as you play the "duh...i didn't know" game with them)

You can bring up to a carton (20 packs) into America, I believe.

Well, unless you're planning on smuggling two or three thousand cartons into the country, you'll be fine.
